Client Consulting Program

The SBDC offers one-on-one client consulting services to prospective and existing business owners. Highly qualified SBDC consultants assist small business owners and entrepreneurs with areas such as business plan development, loan packaging, operational planning, marketing, personnel management, merchandising, and financial management, as well as other areas of need.

Consulting services are provided, without charge, to small business owners and prospective owners who are 1) U. S. citizens, 2) U. S. green card holders, or 3) U. S. permanent residents. For corporations seeking consulting assistance, the corporation must be majority-owned by individuals meeting one or more of the above three criteria.

The SBDC does not compete with private enterprise. Therefore, SBDC consultants do not write business plans for clients. However, SBDC consultants provide one-to-one guidance to assist individuals toward completing a business plan as part of an educational process.
